Performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply magnetic resonance imaging for radiological diagnosis of patients of all ages.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education: High school graduate or GED and Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Sonography required.

Experience: One year of experience required in MRI.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified/registered by the ARRT in MRI or certified/registered in an Imaging profession by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS or a candidate for the MRI advance certification by meeting the ARRT candidate requirements. As of May 1, 2014 all MRI Technologists must obtain the MRI advanced certification by May 1, 2015. MRI technologists employed after May 1, 2014 have one (1) year to complete their advanced MRI certification.

AHA BLS-HCP required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
