The Risk Management/Safety Consultant is responsible for coordinating risk management/safety functions and activities for Carilion Medical Center (CMC). The Risk Management/Safety Consultant may also act in an advisory capacity to other non-Carilion Medical Center (CMC) sites as requested and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education: Bachelor's Degree or plan in place.
Experience: Two to four years experience as safety officer in a healthcare facility. Two years experience in fire, security, or safety management is required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: N/A
Other Minimum Qualifications: Advanced interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of individuals from employees to regulatory agency representatives. Ability to be flexible, prioritize, organize and complete assignments in a timely manner. Ability to meet physical requirements of job. Good interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and decision making skills. Must provide own transportation for travel between facilities.
